THE WIND INDICATOR
An indicator or Wind Cone is made up of a mast and a metal basket, which contains the windsock, formed in a textile tube that, as it becomes especially clear as the wind passes through it, obtains a cone shape. .
It also resembles a sock, which helps explain the term "windsock".
For night operations, they must be provided with a simple obstacle light and internal or external projectors to illuminate the windsock.
