In addition to being used in Heliports, Airports and Aerodromes, the Wind Indicators or Wind Cones are used in food industries, refrigerators, packing plants, chemical plants, petrochemicals, where knowing the wind direction is of fundamental importance in the case that hazardous gas leaks occur, and evacuation of personnel is necessary.

For night operations they will be provided with a simple obstacle light and internal or external projectors for lighting the wind indicator sleeve.

ROTATING FRAME: galvanized iron tube is a sturdy structure, to provide vane effect, keeping the initial part of the sleeve open; the assembly turns freely on 2RS encapsulated bearings

SLEEVE (WindSock): The standard sleeves are orange although the customer can choose fringed sleeves Orange - White

EXTERIOR LIGHTING SYSTEM (OPTIONAL): Made up of a support tube with a connection box in the upper part, to which four steel arms are fixed, finished in lamp holders. The PAR38 lamps have a power of 80W for airports and heliports respectively, 220V, base E27, 2,000 hours of life.

LIGHTING OF OBSTACLES (OPTIONAL): (only for the wind indicator version with illumination) a simple obstacle light, LED type of long duration and low power consumption in 220-240V, is mounted on top of the wind indicator.

POST WITH FOLDING BASE: Made of galvanized steel tube, complete with anchor base in steel plate. In this base there is a main bolt that also allows the indicator to be lowered for easy and safe maintenance of the lighting system and the replacement of the sleeve. A support is provided, consisting of a post with base to prevent the indicator from touching the ground and can be refuted to its original position after maintenance.

POWER SUPPLY: 220V AC single phase, 50Hz, with ground connection included. Distributed by a connection box fixed to the pole or flagpole They can also be powered, in 12V 24V 36V 48V DC and with Solar energy


FLOOR ASSEMBLY: The wind indicator must be mounted on the ground on a corresponding concrete base with embedded anchor bolts, also supplied by TECNIAERO
